Fun Neither 'The Starlost' nor "Terror of the Zygons"...

Back in 1975 when visiting someone I saw part of a soap-opera (or soap-operish) tv-episode. It would be either science-fiction or supernatural. I thought it was 'The Starlost' but having just completed all sixteen televised episodes (out of eighteen; two were never aired)...it wasn't. It's also not "Terror of the Zygons". In this scene from an unknown episode from an unknown series someone is being frightened by a shape-shifting (or appearance-changing) being that could be an extraterrestrial (most-likely answer), a witch, djinn or demon. The creature is rapidly changing appearances in front of this patient scaring the shit out-of-him. It can't be a Zygon from "Terror of the Zygons" as they couldn't change multiple times rapid-fire like, but rather just one-at-a-time taking five to ten seconds to do so. It could be 'Space: 1999', but I doubt it as that I believed came after the time of my visit in 1975 (September; I believe my visit was in May or June of that year). I was very-disappointed that it wasn't 'The Starlost' as I thought for sure it would be...

Wild guess as it has been many years since I've seen the episodes, they might not have any shape-shifting episodes. But possibly 'UFO'? That might be as it was actually earlier than 1975 but it could have been a re-run.

'Blakes 7' was my first thought but it wasn't around in '75, unless your memory is actually from later like 1978?

No, my memory can't be off since the place I saw this was specific. But thanks anyway!

Interesting. I liked these old threads on the IMDB where users would ask the community for help finding an old TV show or movie they vaguely remembered. Unfortunately, unless you're the OP from IMDB, RIP_IMDB, what are we supposed to do with this? I'd need to ask follow-up questions, like whether or not the OP saw the TV show in the US or another country, which would help narrow the list of potential candidates.

For instance, I found a show called 'Phoenix Five' from Australia that had an episode called "Stowaway" that might fit the bill, but a) there are few specifics on what the episode entailed and b) it was an Australian production. However, shows like that appeared in the early '70s and were low budget enough, and filmed on inexpensive sets, that they could be easily confused with a show like 'The Starlost'.

Any details on why you seem to have re-posted this?

I AM the one looking for this and saw this back in 1975. I'm from the US and saw it in the US. Watched it in Evanston, Illinois to be more specific. I never heard of 'Phoenix Five' and thus neither "The Stowaway". So I don't know IF any channel from Chicago EVER aired it, or not. But thanks for inquiring and helping!
