Your thoughts on this movie.....

The centuries old vampire Count Dracula comes to England to seduce his barrister Jonathan Harker's fiancée Mina Murray and inflict havoc in the foreign land.






And then there was that song of course...

No Whitby = no credible Dracula. My problem remains that the title suggested extra-fidelity to the novel, but fudged it badly.

Delightfully bonkers in its own right nevertheless - the whole timely blood/AIDS subtext was interesting + (as you hint) some deranged accents to savour - but as I recall grumbling to the friend I saw it with (male and straight) , he got 3 voluptuous lady vampires to drool over, I got Keanu Reeve's left armpit. NO FAIR!

What a total waste of Hopkins too.
