I think you should ask David Fincher. The film is pretty weak. I do think it's wonderful that Fincher bounced back from that film to make SE7EN. FOX suits have destroyed many a career with their meddling. It's good that Fincher escaped that mess. Alien 3 is bleak. Nothing wrong with that...
