It's brilliant! One of the funniest shows I've ever seen.
The first season is the absolute best. The next seasons were slowly turning the jokes towards the guys instead of the workplace and I didn't like that, even though it was fun, I was expecting more jokes inside the office. First season was spot on... the added characters and places didn't worked too well for me but I still had fun with it... it's just that I felt so related to the scenario on the first season that when they "redecorated" the office and started adding weird characters It just felt "off" to me.
The dumb boss was so much spot on... I had a boss exactly like her... I mean.. EXACTLY. It's like THE BEST portrait of a useless boss inside an IT department ever. I've never seen to date, a more realistic portrait.. Last seasons were bad.. I just wish Denholm Reynholm wont go away after first season, that guy was also spot on. Douglas Reynholm didn't cut it, at least to me. Oh and I absolute hate the Richmond character.... totally out of place.
All in all, even when the real gem is in Season 1 and part of Season 2, the show is still a very good one and I wish it could last more seasons.

I worked with one - albeit a male boss - who was exactly like that. Didn't know anything about what we did, but insisted on throwing his weight around, because "he was the boss".
I didn't like him as much as Denholm, but I still liked him. Of course, it may be because I liked the actor so much on Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.
We may have to throw hands over this one, mon amis. I absolutely love Richmond.
Still one of the best comedies I have ever seen, but yeah, I would have loved to have seen more that was just Roy and Moss.
Now that I think about it... I want to correct myself. It's not that I hated Richmond per-se... I hated that kind of character "inside" that universe. The actor was actually fun and seeing that same character in a different series would had been a lot of fun. It's just that I felt it made the series feel off.. this coupled with the fact that last seasons occurs almost entirely outside the office is what turned the series from superb to just fun... at least for me.

I can see that. He does sort of feel off from the rest of the crew, and almost shoehorned into the situation. So your point is quite valid. 
I also agree about the last seasons, for the most part. I liked the attempt to show how these socially awkward characters deal with life outside of their little "ecosystem", as Roy puts it. But the shows's strength was having showing these misfits in an area where they essentially have all the power.
What I don't get is the trend to have a special after a series has ended. The IT Crowd, The Office, and a few other shows I've watched have done this, where they feel the need to do a longer special episode to tie everything together and, in the case of this and The Office, give a happy ending when one wasn't really needed. I don't know if they're catering to us Americans, but I'm one of those Yanks who isn't a happy ending kind of guy (unless I've paid the girl at the massage parlor for it).
