William Shatner.

He has his moments and can pose a nice shot visually, but other than that he seems completely incompetent i.m.o.:emoji_confused:

I would say Stanley Kubrick.

His films are either brilliantly layered, or pretentious nonsense.

I like the fact that nobody seems sure which one it is! :emoji_alien:

Filmmaker Joe Johnston has revealed to Arts that he’s retiring from directing with his next project, his tenth feature, to be his last.

Johnston appeared at Comic Con Paris and told the crowd that “The Silver Chair,” the fourth film based on C.S. Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia” series, will be last film as a director.

He explains that the film won’t reference the other films and will serve as a reboot of the whole series.

TriStar Pictures, The Mark Gordon Company, The C.S. Lewis Company, and Entertainment One are behind the new film which David Magee (“The Life of Pi”) is writing. Pre-production is expected to start next summer ahead of a shoot in New Zealand’s South Island next winter for a 2019 release.

Johnston’s most notable directorial efforts include “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “The Rocketeer,” “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” “Jumanji,” “Jurassic Park III,” “Hidalgo,” and “October Sky”.
