Scooby Prequel “Daphne & Velma”





Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the first official trailer for “Daphne and Velma,” a live-action prequel movie which looks at how the two popular characters from the “Scooby Doo” cartoon met.

Sarah Jeffery (“Descendants: Wicked World”) and Sarah Gilman (“Last Man Standing”) co-star in the high school-set tale produced by Ashley and Jennifer Tisdale’s Blondie Girl Productions. The film is set for release on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD May 22nd.

The trailer follows in the wake of the “Scooby-Doo” themed episode of “Supernatural” last week which drew the show’s highest ratings since its season premiere.

Okay, you know what? That looks...actually not terrible. It doesn't make much sense to have them as BFFs, since you never really get a sense of that in any of the incarnations, but it looks like it would be fun. Not as much fun as the Daphne and Velma video I saw on the interwebs the other day, but still fun. And more, erm...family friendly.
