Any Holmes buffs out there?

What is it about Holmes that appeals to you?

I read the first one (A Study in Scarlet) which suddenly goes off on a tangent about the Mormons. I actually though they'd accidentally printed a different book in the book such was the out-of-nowhere nature of the narrative.

I enjoyed it but never really went back.

I absolutely love Holmes. I enjoy seeing how his analytical mind works. I also enjoy the relationship between Holmes and Watson. They are the quintessential Victorian dude bros.

Sure, great stuff. Lots of adventures. I like Sherlock's way of figuring things out, when others can't.

Sherlock is great to read. Audible has just released the complete works read by Stephen Fry which sounds fantastic (although I can't currently afford it )

Sherlock's Last Case (1987)

Years ago I heard the following play on the radio starring Dinsdale Landen as Holmes and finally tracked it down again on Youtube.

It is a tongue in cheek story with a few twists and turns...

I really like it, but the Youtube comments suggest that it is actually rubbish!
