Syfy Renews “Krypton” For Season 2


Syfy has renewed its Superman prequel series “Krypton” for a second season ahead of the show’s season finale this week.

“Krypton” is averaging 1.8 million viewers in Live+3 and is Syfy’s most-watched debut season of an original series since “Ascension” in 2014 along with being the most-watched season of any scripted series on the network since “Defiance” in 2015.

Set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s titular home planet, the series follows the Man of Steel’s grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) who must fight to save his home planet or let it be destroyed to restore the fate of his future grandson.

The second season is expected to air in 2019.

Have now seen just the first episode.

Other than struggling to get past the "London" accents, chatter and banter, ("Mum!", "Dad!", "Mate!") and the consequent sapping of some of the other-worldly quality, this seems okay enough.

I can't help but wonder if there is a DOCTOR WHO fan on the writing staff....

So far we have a character called Nyssa - and reference was made to having cured "The Green Death" at some point!

“Krypton” S2 Photo Shows Off Lobo’s Look


Quite a few months ago, “The Fall” and “Hollyoaks” actor Emmett J. Scanlan scored the role of fan-favourite DC Comics antihero character Lobo in the upcoming second season of Syfy’s Superman prequel series “Krypton”.

Now, the Irish actor has posted a new photo of himself in full costume as the character who will serve as the main villain of the show’s second season.

In this version, he’s a ruthless bounty hunter who committed the genocide of his own people. He also has a genius-level intellect when it comes to warfare, and has superhuman strength along with being virtually immortal.

The new season is expected to premiere sometime later this year.
