Mackie, Dornan To Lead Sci-Fi “Synchronic”
Anthony Mackie (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) and Jamie Dornan (“Fifty Shades of Grey”) are in talks to lead “The Endless” directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead’s new sci-fi thriller “Synchronic” at Rustic Films.
Mackie and Dornan will play two New Orleans paramedics whose lives are ripped apart after encountering a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug with bizarre, otherworldly effects. Benson wrote the screenplay while David Lawson Jr. is set to produce the feature alongside Benson and Moorhead.
This marks the fourth low-budget sci-fi film from the two filmmakers following 2012’s “Reprisal,” 2014’s “Spring” and 2017’s “The Endless” which opened in release earlier this year. All three so far have received excellent reviews.
