The Television Academy has announced the nominations for the 69th Emmy Awards at the Saban Media Center. Television Academy Chairman and CEO Hayma Washington was joined by Anna Chlumsky and Shemar Moore at the nominations ceremony to announce this year’s candidates.

The Emmys will be telecast live from The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 17th with the broadcast hosted by Stephen Colbert. Here’s the list of the key nominees:

The Television Academy has announced the winners of the 69th Emmy Awards at The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Stephen Colbert kicked off the ceremony with a musical opening with plenty of tips of the hat to the likes of “Westworld,” “Stranger Things,” “Game of Thrones” and more – even if those all got snubbed.

It was a fairly even spread with HBO’s “Big Little Lies” and Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” proving the big winners with five awards each respectively, Hulu becoming the first streaming service to win the top honor. “Atlanta,” “Veep” and SNL also scored two each. Here is the full list of winners:

The 2018 Emmy Award Winners

The 70th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were handed out on Monday night with HBO’s “Game of Thrones” taking the top honor of best drama series, Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” nabbing best comedy series, and FX’s “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” taking best limited series.

All three won multiple awards across several categories, as did FX’s “The Americans,” HBO’s “Barry” and Netflix’s “The Crown,” and “Godless” while “Westworld,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “Black Mirror” also took single award honors. Notable snubs that missed out included last year’s big winner “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Twin Peaks: The Return,” “Atlanta,” “Killing Eve” and acclaimed telemovie “The Tale”. Great surprises included “The Americans” finally scoring recognition, and a wedding proposal that happened on stage. Here’s the full winners list:
