He was the one & only Superman for me. Saw him on the big screen and those blue eyes just caused me to
melt. Wanted to be L.L. carried away to the heaven's in his arms. Saw every SM film he was in and some of his other works too: Somewhere in Time w/Jane Seymour, The Remains of the Day w/Anthony Hopkins
Monsignor (imagine him playing a priest?), Mortal Sins (another priest),Black Fox I,II,III,
Deathtrap w/Michael Caine and the list goes on. Christopher left us, like so many of the good ones do, way before it should have been his time @ 52. This coming 9 years after a riding accident left him paralyzed. He has a very large legacy of work and life achievements that can be read here, please take the time to read it.

He was offered the role of Fletcher Christian in the remake of The Bounty, but negotiations were going poorly.

Anthony Hopkins even resorted to phoning him up, pleading with him to just accept the role, but Reeve continued to prevaricate.

In the end the studio got fed up and ended up offering the part to Mel Gibson.

But would Christopher have been better in the role?
