Roger Ebert Liked The Phantom Menace

Roger Ebert, one of the most respected film critics of all time, says even though their could have been more character interest in the film, it is a remarkable achievement, a marriage of imagination and special effects, and his thumb is up with a lot of admiration.

Mark Hamill Can’t Believe How Intensely People Bashed the Star Wars Prequels

When we asked Hamill how it felt to revisit Skywalker after all these years, he said he was terrified. Expanding on that, he reminded us of the vitriolic criticism hurled at the prequels, and how he was concerned the new movies could suffer a similar backlash.

Star Wars or Bust (1999) - The Phantom Menace Fan Documentary

Star Wars or Bust is a short film about the fandom of Star Wars in the late 90's, as The Phantom Menace opened in theaters Mann's Chinese Theater, The Coronet in San Francisco, and the Ziegfeld in New York. Some of the footage and interviews were used in the documentary "The People vs. George Lucas"
