A “Sex and the City” Sequel Series Is Coming?
Paramount Television has scored the screen rights to Candace Bushnell’s “Is There Still Sex in the City?,” the follow-up novel to her original book “Sex and the City” which spawned the hit HBO series.
The new book takes a look at sex, dating, and friendship in New York City after 50. Set between the Upper East Side of Manhattan and a country enclave known as The Village.
The story looks at love and life, marriage and children, divorce and bereavement, as well as the very real pressures on women to maintain their youth and have it all. The book hits shelves on August 6th.
Bushnell will write the pilot script and serve as an executive producer along with Liza Chasin and Robyn Meisinger. Anonymous Content will produce the series.
