Set in 1924 during the vibrant Harlem Renaissance, a family of once-great hunters must protect New York City from an invasion of humans turned into hideous monsters by a supernatural force feeding off of prejudice, spite, and bigotry.

Legendary Plans “Bitter Root” Film Adaptation





Legendary Pictures has acquired feature film rights to the acclaimed horror-action Image Comics title “Bitter Root”.


Set in 1924 during the vibrant Harlem Renaissance, a family of once-great hunters must protect New York City from an invasion of humans turned into hideous monsters by a supernatural force feeding off of prejudice, spite, and bigotry.

Sean Owolo, David F. Walker, Sanford Greene, and Chuck Brown will executive produce.
