I'm saddened by the fact that, even in the 21st century, there are still those who really believe that you can "pray the gay away". It's all bullshit. Whenever someone I know whines about how their religion is always under attack, and how they're the religion of "peace and love", I bring this kind of stuff up. No, it's not all christians, but they should take the blame just like muslims all seem to have to take the blame when their extremists act stupid.
As a Christian, people like "Love in Action" trying to "pray the gay away" just makes me want to punch them. Not very "peace and love" of me unfortunately.

“24” alum Cherry Jones, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea and celebrated French-Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan have all joined the cast of Joel Edgerton’s “Boy Erased” based on Garrard Conley’s novel.
“Manchester by the Sea” break out star Lucas Hedges plays the son of a Baptist pastor in a small American town, who is outed to his parents (Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe) at age 19.
He is faced with an ultimatum: attend a gay conversion therapy program – or be permanently exiled and shunned by his family, friends, and faith.
Troye Sivan, Emily Hinkler, Jesse LaTourette, David Joseph Craig, Théodore Pellerin, and Britton Sear also star in the film which begins production this Fall. Focus Features will release it worldwide next year.
