Your thoughts on this movie....

In a futuristic world that has embraced ape slavery, Caesar, the son of the late simians Cornelius and Zira, surfaces after almost twenty years of hiding out from the authorities, and prepares for a slave revolt against humanity.

Thoughts on this, the fourth - and perhaps most controversial - sequel in the original run of Ape films?
I've got to admit that Roddy McDowall gives an incredible performance and basically carries the film.

There's a scene where Caesar learns that Armando is dead. He starts crying, then screams out in anger, and then goes silent. McDowall goes from grief, to rage, to fear of discovery in the span of a few seconds, all while wearing ape makeup, and pulls it off.

The scene where Roddy says Lousy human bastards is a great one, even though it brings calamity onto himself and Armando.

A great performance from McDowall, as you say. :emoji_alien:
