Trailer: Annette Bening In “Film Stars Don’t Die…”
Having just screened on the Fall film festival circuit, actress Annette Bening is already being tipped as a major chance come Oscar time for her turn in Paul McGuigan’s new tale “Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool” which just released its first trailer today.
Based on Peter Turner’s memoir, the true story feature deals with the relationship that developed between legendary actress Gloria Grahame (Bening) and her much younger lover (Jamie Bell) in the late 1970s, that would change both their lives forever.
The film opens in the U.K. on November 17th, and while Sony Pictures Classics hasn’t set a U.S. release date – it will certainly at least have awards-qualifying screenings taking place before the year’s out.
