Often derided and criticised as being too safe and middle class, but I've always found Terry Scott and June Whitfield's series a pleasant way to spend a half hour. Happy Ever After was IMO slightly better than the later series ,but both enjoyable.

I have the full run of Terry and June on dvd, but have yet to get Happy Ever After.

The very definition of "safe" comedy, without any edge to it at all. But I can't look down on because of that, cause, truth be told, I love these two performers and the shows they made together.

Notable for being largely written by John Kane, who was Tommy in Planet of the Spiders - and also for having the actress who played Piri/Cancer in Blake's 7, popping up in one episode and proving that she still couldn't act. No crab spiders in this show to put a stop to her appalling performance this time though. :emoji_confused:
