First role I can honestly think of I seen him in was Deadwood. After that show took off I started seeing McShane in so many more. I thought he did pretty good in AHS Asylum, and Game of Thrones.

Excellent in Sexy Beast (smallish but pivotal character)

And of course, hero of the endlessly jolly teatime TV favourite Lovejoy. Although I wish it'd been a bit less jolly teatimey, once I'd read some of the books - where he's a much dodgier, grungier, even sleazier character. McShane can get his teeth into all of that!
