First Trailer: Craig, Berry Team On “Kings”
“Mustang” director Deniz Gamze Erguven returns with “Kings,” a film starring Halle Berry and Daniel Craig as citizens of the same South Central neighbourhood in 1992 who become caught up in events that lead to the 1992 riots.
Millie (Berry) is a hardworking single mom with a soft spot for stray kids, Obie (Craig) is her neighbour and the local loose cannon who is the only white man in an area largely inhabited by African Americans, Latinos, and Koreans.
With racial tensions running dangerously high, the unlikely allies must navigate the gathering chaos in the city to bring Millie’s kids home safely. The Orchard is slated to release the film on April 27th.
