The beginning of the Missing Episodes, but that doesn't mean we can't watch them now....

Based on either the audio, or any kind of reconstruction.... What are your views on this lost story.

And, if found again, could this one live up to the hype?

The TARDIS arrives on Earth in the 13th century, where it is claimed by famed explorer Marco Polo as a gift for his employer, Kublai Khan. Polo hopes to finally buy his way out of the Khan's service - but if he succeeds, the Doctor and his friends will never be able to get back to their Ship ever again... (Originally broadcast in seven parts.)

On to the next story.....

I can't help but think that this one is not gonna live up to the hype if found....

Perhaps the mere fact that it is entirely missing has helped to elevate it into the status of an all time great story that we would find riveting viewing - and not in the least boring at all.

I suspect that the reality is that - once we got it back on our shelves - we would watch it in it's entirety - at long last - and probably watch it once again in our lifetime, if it was lucky?

I would like to be proved wrong in this suspicion.....

Certainly it is a pleasant enough listen, like having a Radio 4 play on in the background while you read a book at the same time, only half listening to it.

But a gripping classic? Not so sure.....

We had a mention on PLANET MONDAS.....

The following may be nothing, but (since September) something odd seems to have happened to a couple of the recons of one particular story.

... courtesy of BBC WORLDWIDE.

As can be seen above, the first two Loose Cannon episodes of MARCO POLO have been taken down by BBC Worldwide, which led to a very short lived, damp squib of fan speculation on MONDAS.

More level heads quickly quelled such speculation......

(unfortunately) stuff is always being removed from DailyMotion as it is from YouTube, it then suddenly reappears.
Luckily the older colour recons of the first two episodes are still there, so I will replace the lost links with those...
