A fake Fabergé egg, and a fellow Agent's death, lead James Bond to uncover an international jewel-smuggling operation, headed by the mysterious Octopussy, being used to disguise a nuclear attack on N.A.T.O. forces.

Ah, 1983. The year of the Battle of the Bonds.

I don't think that either this or Never Say Never Again were in any way classics. But I like both films as okay Bond adventures.

As has recently been pointed out to me by a good friend, the heroes of our yesteryear are disappearing at an alarming rate now.

It's a little scary to contemplate which ones have passed on.
