This is a wonderful comedy with a tip top cast. Brenda Blethyn Robert Daws, Timothy Spall, Josie Lawrence along with Dennis Lill ( Charles from Survivors) , and Michael Jayston star in Cricket folk comedy.
The trials and tribulations of running a Cricket Club, the game itself takes a back seat to the complicated angst ridden lives of the characters. A rare ITV comedy without canned laughter, and with a lot of glorious moments as the characters put their personal lives to one side to play for Brent Park cricket club.
