Your thoughts on this episode....

The Xenon base security systems have locked down the Scorpio, effectively stranding our heroes. The computerized lock leading to the launch silo can only be opened by Avon, who has his hands full after becoming enmeshed in a war between the male Hommiks and the female Seskas. And if that wasn't bad enough, there's a nuclear weapon counting down inside the launch silo...

With a bit of script editing, this really is a non-essential episode, as proven by the fact that Trevor Hoyle left it out of his SCORPIO ATTACK novelisation entirely, jumping to TRAITOR.

Having said that, it is an enjoyable enough romp about the battle of the sexes. Soolin hides away for most of the episode, but at least makes a good entrance at the end.

Ben Steed is a curious component in the Blake's 7 saga. His scripts seem either mad, humorous - or sometimes a bit of both.

This one is less crazy, but humour predominates.

The lady playing Pella moaned so much during production about how loud the guns were that the irked prop lads loaded up the gun Avon kills her with and you can hear that it is louder than usual on the soundtrack.

So, while you could, in theory, jump to Traitor and assume that they got the teleport working and opened the silo door with Orac's help, this episode is fine and entirely watchable. Not one to be avoided, especially if you want a chuckle here and there, but you can skip it if you like.
