Syfy has handed out a pilot order to “Resident Alien,” a drama based on the Dark Horse comics series by Peter Horgan and Steve Parkhouse.
The dark, twisted and comedic fish-out-of-water story follows a crash-landed alien named Harry who, after taking on the identity of a small-town Colorado doctor, slowly begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission on Earth.
Universal Cable Productions, Dark Horse Entertainment and Amblin TV will produce the film which Chris Sheridan (“Family Guy”) is adapting for television. Sheridan along with “The Americans” duo Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank will executive produce.
