“Roma” will debut in cinemas in Los Angeles, New York and Mexico on Wednesday November 21st, before platforming out into additional engagements on Thursday November 29th and Friday December 7th in other cities in over twenty countries around the globe before finally releasing on the streaming platform on December 14th.
Members of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association assembled the other day to vote on the year’s best cinematic accomplishments.
This year “Roma” was the big winner, coming in hot with best film, best cinematography and a runner-up honor for best director. Winners of their top prize in recent years includes “Call Me by Your Name,” “Moonlight,” “Spotlight,” “Boyhood,” “Her”/”Gravity” and “Amour.”
The likes of “Burning,” “Leave No Trace” and “If Beale Street Could Talk” scored multiple wins, while “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” took the best animated feature.
