Getting close to the end now – 4 more episodes left after this one. What storylines will be closed and which ones will end in never-to-be-resolved cliffhangers? (Although since it did come back again, some might still be resolved)

Windom is trying to decide who his queen victim will be – Shelley, Donna, or Audrey. He’s decided it will be the one who wins the Twin Peaks beauty contest. Any one of them could easily win it; will he get them all to participate, though? He had a chance to see Audrey and plant some ideas in her head to start.

Meanwhile, Dale and Annie clearly like each other and it looks like that’s relationship is moving forward. Again, she talks like nuns are segregated from the world. Yes, they have newspapers and cable TV. Guess what, they actually teach students and mingle with other people at gatherings. Or at least, our nuns did. And that was back in the 60’s. Getting back to the story, Annie tried to commit suicide once so she must have a dark past.

Harry’s up and running again. The woman who crawled in bed with him last week tried to kill him but he outfought her, and now he seems back to normal. I wondered if she was a real Black Widow – mates and then kills. But she was Eckhart’s agent trying to kill Harry because….ah, who cares? At least he’s not drunk and depressed anymore.

Meanwhile, Dale combined the tattoos on Major Briggs and the log lady and – surprise – it just happened to match a marking over at – Owl Cave. So our hearty crew of Dale, Harry, Henry and Andy so spelunking. And when Andy swings at an owl he just happens to hit a panel that opens another panel and reveals a pole with a petroglyph on it. Then they stop there. Later, Earle goes poking around and sees an image of the petroglyph upside down so he inverts the pole and the cave starts to collapse. Quick, bury him. No, we couldn’t be that lucky.

Meanwhile it looks like Donna’s mom had at least a one-night stand with Ben Horne years ago, which she regrets. So is one of her children actually Ben’s? Where do they even go with that if it’s true? Ben seems to be trying to become a better person. He gives Audrey more duties to do, including keeping him in line. But when he rushes her off on an assignment, new boyfriend John looks crestfallen. Come on, John, grow up. There’s still plenty of time for you to date her and you have no current rival. Besides, all that talk between you two about bringing nails if you bring a hammer sounded very suggestive.

Maybe the cave or the beauty contest will hold some interest next week. This one just gets 5 screeching owls, which of course are not what they seem.

Best dialogue:

Cooper: Fellas, coincidence and fate figure largely in our lives. This appears to be a petroglyph. Harry, I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.
