Morgan, Forte Join “Scooby Doo” Animated Film

Will Forte, Gina Rodriguez, Tracy Morgan and Frank Welker are all set to voice key roles in the upcoming new “Scooby-Doo” animated feature film for Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Animation Group.


The story sees the Mystery Inc. gang join forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his evil plans…and this time, we are told, the threat is real.

Rodriguez will voice Velma, Forte will voice Shaggy, Welker is Scooby, and Morgan will voice classic Hanna-Barbera character Captain Caveman.

Tony Cervone is directing the film which Chris Columbus, Charles Roven and Allison Abbate will produce. A theatrical release in May 2020 is planned.

Efron, Seyfried To Voice “Scooby-Doo” Film

Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried are set to voice Fred and Daphne in “Scoob,” the upcoming animated Scooby-Doo film in the works at Warner Bros. Pictures.


The pair join Will Forte as Shaggy Rogers, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman and Frank Welker as Scooby. The project marks the first “Scooby-Doo” theatrical release since 2004’s “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed”.

In “Scoob,” the spooked dog and his friends team up with other Hanna-Barbera characters to take on Dick Dastardly. Tony Cervone helms while Chris Columbus, Pam Coats and Allison Abbate are producing the film which is targeting a May 2020 release.

Jeong, Clemons Join New “Scooby Doo” Cast

Comedian Ken Jeong (“The Hangover,” “Crazy Rich Asians”) and actress Kiersey Clemons (“Dope”) are joining Tony Cervone’s “Scoob,” the upcoming “Scooby-Doo” animated feature about the Mystery Inc. gang at Warner Bros. Pictures.


The film will incorporate numerous Hanna-Barbera characters from other franchises. Jeong will voice the robot dog Dynomutt, Dog Wonder who had his own Saturday morning show in the late 1970s. Clemons will voice Dee Dee Skyes, one of Captain Caveman’s ‘Teen Angels’.

The pair join the already announced cast of Zac Efron (Fred), Amanda Seyfried (Daphne), Gina Rodriguez (Velma), Will Forte (Shaggy), Tracy Morgan (Captain Caveman), and Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo).

“Scoob” hits cinemas on May 15th 2020.
