The promotional stuff for Star Trek V always makes me laugh where Shatner is introducing his acting friends to the audience and says "And here is the actor playing Chekov!" To which we get a sort of a chuffy noise and Chekov tells us that he is Walter Koenig! I wondered if shat was being shitty there or what?

My thinking is that he probably remembers Walter's first name, but completely forgets his surname in that moment. (If he has even ever known it.)

So rather than just say "Walter", tries to steer round it.

But still, not being interested enough to learn or remember his colleague's full name after over a quarter of a century, seems to say it all really! :emoji_grinning:

Star Trek The Cage

Susan Oliver played the ship-wrecked girl (and the Green Orion Slave Girl in Captain Pike's fantasy thoughts), in the original pilot movie for the Star Trek TV series. As a young lad, I was smitten with the character, the idea of any fantasy being created, and by what she said in these, my favourite clips.
