Your thoughts on this story.....

The TARDIS arrives in Tombstone, Arizona in 1891. Where the Doctor is looking for a dentist when he has a toothache, where The Doctor finds the local dentist is the famous Doc Holliday who is in a feud with The Clanton Brothers and their hired gunfighter Johnny Ringo, whilst local sheriff Wyatt Earp is trying to keep the peace. The Doctor, Steven and Dodo find themselves joining forces with The Clanton Brothers and Sheriff Wyatt Earp.

Yes, I love that. You can see that Hartnell is in his element and gets some of his old strength and enthusiasm back.

The cast clearly had fun with this one, but I always struggle watching it, because of that damn song that seems to overwhelm the whole thing.

I have a theory - which I have never read anywhere, that this is actually taking place in a cut price WESTWORLD holiday resort and everyone there is a robot.

The Doctor and co. simply never realise this fact.

This cuts neatly through any historical errors and rubbish accents. And explains the song. The robots are badly programmed and the Lynda Barron bar-room singer robot has hit a glitch and keeps singing the song.

Endlessly.
