Review The Land That Time Forgot (1974)

I was very aware of this at the time it hit cinemas, but never actually went to see it. It seemed that every show from Magpie to Blue Peter, Screen Test, Film 1974 were doing short features on that bloody wooden looking pteridacty pterydactil flying bird thing. After seeing 1933's KONG and all those lovely Harryhausen creatures, this movie seemed a step back and I thought the monsters looked charming, but laughable.

And to this day I have yet to sit down and watch this movie properly from beginning to end. Or it's sequel, "The People That Time Forgot".

I suspect that it's my loss. In fact I know it is, as I loved "At the Earth's Core" and "Warlords of Atlantis", two later films from the same folk that I actually did manage to get to the cinema and see.
