Vincent Price and John Carradine star in the Milton Subotsky portmanteau film...
I really like this film.
Okay, the budget is a bit shaky here and there, especially in the club scenes. Vincent Price famously claimed that a milkman who made masks in his spare time made them. Vincent also said that he did not like the music in the film.
But for all that, there are some genuinely creepy moments in this movie. The Ghoul village one is particularly effective I think. The Shadmock is a sad and scary character.
It picks a mere few stories from R. Chetwynd Hayes book...
I do think that this is one of those times that a remake would be a nice idea.
But I will always love this, the original film.

Vincent Price & John Carradine talk The Monster Club
That is still my favorite segment as well. I just remember hitting the end of it,
with the two cops turning around and revealing that they're also ghouls,
and being effectively creeped out by it. And honestly, anything with Vincent Price is worth watching.
