Review The New Legends of Monkey

Just finished watching the first episode of this Australian remake of Monkey.

Made by the Australian Broadcasting Network (our public broadcaster) it takes the basic concept of the original show and sets it in a mythical world (as opposed to mythical ancient China). It's got a very different feel to the original, which I remember as being fairly silly (at least in the English dub). This is a much more modern take on the story and I have to say I'm enjoying it so far.

Interesting... I enjoyed the original MONKEY.

Of course I was just a teenager back then and with just two TV channels to choose from, there wasn't a lot of competition.

However, I still have fond memories of it.
