Leo McKern in his first of three appearances as Number 2 is a joy as the jovial guardian with an infectious laugh. A new arrival, an Estonian woman, Nadia, moves in next door to the Prisoner. Her story is she worked for her government and saw a secret file on the location of The Village, knew too much and therefore kidnapped herself and sent there. The Prisoner and Nadia concoct a plan to escape using The Village arts and crafts fete as a cover. The Prisoner's wooden art exhibit can be cleverly turned into a raft. With Nadia's knowledge they both set out to sea hoping to make it to the Lithuanian coast and freedom. But can she be trusted?
