Another very good episode with a classic ending.
Col.Paul Foster and Lieutenant Grey while traveling from moonbase back to Earth are intercepted by a UFO and brainwashed into believing Straker is the enemy who must die. Their craft never reaches Earth and drifts back to the moon. Straker heads to the moon to find out what happened to them and after both men try to kill him, Grey dying himself in the attempt, which was to blow up the whole base just to get Straker, and Foster holding Straker at gunpoint, it's obvious both men were deeply effected by whatever happened to them during the time they were drifting in space and out of communication contact.
SHADO psychiatrist Doug Jackson after interrogating a drugged and hypnotized Foster, realises that both men were taken on board the UFO and brainwashed, and had implanted in them the unshakable desire to kill Straker.
The conditioning is deeply implanted, and irreversible, Foster is finished unless.....Straker thinks he can save Foster, who can't be fired from SHADO, but for security reason would have to be eliminated.
Straker locks himself in a vault with Foster for a final showdown.
