This is a classic masterpiece of pure genius. Perhaps the most memorable episode of the series.
Straker is divorced and has access to his son once a month for an afternoon. Returning the kid home tragedy strikes, the boy John is knocked down by a car and is in life threatening situation. Meantime a UFO has landed in Ireland and an Alien who wants to co-operate with SHADO has set up a transmitter which SHADO must locate using radar triangulation from ground vehicles.
A transporter carrying the vehicles takes off , Straker is using the craft to get an urgent drug to his son in hospital in London, who cannot receive standard penicillin because of an allergy. Colonel Freeman doesn't realise this and diverts the transporter to Ireland.
When Straker finds out , what does he do?. Which is the priority, tracking the alien or saving his son's life?
This is a must watch episode, even if you only watch one episode, just gotta be this one.
