Your thoughts on this episode....

As The Liberator heads to Del 10 Blake receives a subliminal signal to reroute to an asteroid where he finds Shivan, a resistance leader and Governor Le Grand who need The Liberator to transport them to Atlay where they are to hold a summit to denounce the Federation. But is all what it seems?

I must admit to having a soft spot for this episode, although it is a bit comedic in places. Okay, yes, I am talking about the above picture of you know who. The Monty Python accent underneath all those bandages doesn't help matters.

A shame that they could not - or did not think of - getting back the original actor as Ven Glynd. Interesting too that the child molestation charges against Blake are quietly not specifically referenced.

A copycat of the scene where Blake does a BREAKDOWN Gan and cunningly persuades a fellow crew member to release him is a bit odd. Yes, fine that his mind is being controlled, but the takeover has made him very cunningly eloquent; "Mutual affinities!" etc.

I felt a bit sorry for the poor lady who shed a tear in the cinema one her plan was countered.

And why didn't Jenna stick the bracelet on Blake's ankle? Would have save a lot of stress!

Not the best episode by any means, but enjoyably daft.

As a bit of trivia, while searching for a pic of the episode I found an auction site that had sold the case that controlled Blake!

What was the fascination with writers of this series with the name Del? First we get Del Grant and later Del Tarrant but here we get an asteroid called Del 10 for crying out loud!

Voice From the Past has some bad CSO and Blake seems to be distracted from reaching Star One for some unidentified reason (at least at first) and his yoga sessions with Jenna need a lot of work on them! I always wondered why they didn't try to get Robert James back but apparently they did and he was unavailable! Either that or this quirk of recasting actors in roles that were nothing like the original actor seems out of control at this point! I've always wondered if the New You technology as seen in Logan's Run was available to the people of earth at this time as well might explain the different looks for both Travis and Glynd? But I can't imagine Grief's Travis wanting to become Croucher!!! :emoji_fearful:
