The role requires a decent singing voice while dancing experience is seen as a big plus.
I'm sorry, but for a musical (even if it is a movie) the roles require an excellent singing voice and dancing experience is absolutely vital.

It will be embarrassing if Warren and Faye fuck up the winner announcement again - and poor Mad-Pac spends half an hour doing a thankyou speech before the truth is revealed that we weren't even nominated. :emoji_head_bandage:

If that happens, take the trophy and run. None of this "giving it back to the rightful winner" shit!

Steven Spielberg’s remake of the classic musical “West Side Story” is reportedly looking to cast dancers ages 15-25 to be part of both The Sharks and The Jets, two rival gangs with a bitter rivalry.

The casting will take place in New York City tomorrow (Tuesday September 11th) with a 9-10:30am sign-in for men, and 1-2:30pm sign-in for women – both at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy at 29 Jay Street in Brooklyn. Those attending must:

An initial casting call went out in New York City several months ago for the new film which Tony Kushner is adapting from the original Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim musical.

There will also be a casting call in Puerto Rico on Thursday, September 27th and in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 9th. Full details are up at Vital Thrills.
