New Trailer: “You Were Never Really Here”
Acclaimed filmmaker Lynne Ramsay’s “You Were Never Really Here” debuted in Cannes back in May and while quite a few loved it, there was enough variety of opinion that the film dropped out of the awards race for this year and moved to an early 2018 debut. Now a new trailer for it has gone online.
Joaquin Phoenix plays a traumatized veteran, unafraid of violence, who tracks down missing girls for a living. When a job spins out of control, his nightmares overtake him as a conspiracy is uncovered leading to what may be his death trip or his awakening.
Judith Roberts, Ekaterina Samsonov, John Doman, Alex Manette, Dante Pereira-Olsen, and Alessandro Nivola co-star in the film which boasts a score by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood. The film opens April 6th.
