I am fast becoming a fan of Alfred Bester, who I would never have come across unless I had picked up a used paperback of his short stories from 1964, The Dark Side of the Earth.

I want to explore his early work as "Johnny" Williams. I think there were some jazz flavored ones of note. Well, I don't care if they were "of note" or not, as I always enjoy hearing any of a composer's more obscure, earlier works.

Discovering his CD's in the early 2000's made me a huge fan of instrumental jazz. I was mostly into soundtracks and classical before that. His albums were the bridge that led me into the world of jazz-laden film scores and instrumental jazz itself, such as bebop and the Lounge-Tiki...
The full soundtrack by Elmer Bernstein is epic (I have the CD from the Koch International Label, a prized possession) but that song in the trailer is not so great; I don't think Bernstein wrote it.
I think it's about time the Comic Book movie factory DC and Marvel have become start getting some serious competition, because even a film about Droopy would be better than some of the superhero crud they have churned out.
