I hate to say it, but I think she’s getting the award because she’s a woman in an iconic role. And I think there’s a degree of ageism in the dismissal of Capaldi also.

Those are all beautiful pictures and costumes. But like an earlier poster said, they couldn’t have filmed in a desert? Even “Life of Brian” was filmed in Tunisia. A comedy looks more authentic than this movie. I miss the days when a movie was really a movie, with a real set, and not just CGI...

Yes, I defintely would. Having worked a bit serving food in various places, there are very strict hygiene practices you’re supposed to follow. This was clearly a no-no.

The movie goes by fast but isn’t exceptional filmmaking, story or characterwise. Of course the sets and CGI are wonderful, as are the costumes. Therefore I find it puzzling that Chicago Tribune Michael Phillips could give Titanic four stars but Bohemian Rhapsody two, and further list movies to...
