Review Under the Lake/Before the Flood (2015)

I didn’t like the episode or the Bootstrap Paradox. And that’s the reason I didn’t like “Listen” either. The Doctor makes that fantastic speech about fear, then Clara repeats it to his young self (and they had NO reason to cross his timeline) and that means he didn’t think it up himself. It...

    Fun The Birth of IMDF!

You know, we never see Alex anymore. Is he even promoting the site anymore? It’s much better than other ones. I miss the people who used to post around here.

Fun IMDB: The Site We Left Behind....

I only go on the IMDB to look at reviews.

Information Night of the Living Dead Part II: ANNOUNCED

I’ve never seen any of the other “Dead” movies. Is “Dawn of the Dead” good? Because I so love “Night of the Living Dead.”

    Review Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)

Cohen is like that. But I dislike him so much, I’m glad he’s not in this movie.

    Poll Miscast Modern Doctors?

Well, that’s an idea. I just think he got rid of a lot of potential storylines by doing that. Not that Moffat used Gallifrey at all after he brought it back.

    Review Thin Ice (2017)

    Yes, in some ways.

    Review Empress of Mars (2017)

Doctor Who (with the exception of “Rosa”) seems not to want to acknowledge historical racism in a lot of episodes.

    Review Series 12

Didn’t Doctor Who used to have a steady schedule? And - don’t get rid of the new companions! We hardly have time to know them! And NO MORE ROSE! Are they trying to ruin the show?

    Poll Miscast Modern Doctors?

I was so disappointed he wasn’t in the movie. I liked John Hurt but his casting threw the whole Doctor count off. Not to mention it was a stupid decision by RTD to destroy Gallifrey in the first place.

    Fun Social Media

It’s both. A cell phone is handy if your car breaks down, and I use it at the airport to get a taxi home (this cab service has an app). And hopefully if there’s a car crash a bystander will have the brains to call for help. But teenagers have back problems nowadays from looking at their phones...

    Review The Orville (2017)

There was an episode that kind of explained her infidelity. The alien squirts fluid that makes everybody fall in love with him, even the guys. It’s a few episodes in though.

Controversial Poor Old Jar Jar: Is All the Hatred Warranted?

I signed. The new Star Wars movies suck so much already, why not make the last one sort of amusing?

    Fun Immortality... Would You?

That jellyfish is like Doctor Who! With scientists saying we almost certainly will see an environmental catastrophe in ten years if we don’t stop climate change, and seeing world leaders not willing to do anything about it, I don’t want to live any longer than I have to.

    Review Freaks (1932)

Great movie! The dialogue had some classic lines. I wish I could see the original film - they took a razor blade to it and cut out so many contraversial scenes (for instance, they showed what the freaks did to Hercules - they castrated him and he wound up singing soprano in the freak show). And...

    Review The Golden Girls (1985)

I loved that show. I watched it every Saturday night. I don’t watch the reruns so much anymore, though, because I’ve seen all the episodes several times.

Review Arachnids in the UK (2018)

It goes without saying that if you’re afraid of spiders, skip this episode. Yaz’s family is pretty amusing. I’d love to see more of her dad. Her mother is kind of annoying. You’re fired from your job and surrounded by giant spiders, and you keep asking your daughter if she’s romantically...

    Review Rosa (2018)

Welllll ... I feel ambivalent about that. He wasn’t a particularly memorable character - pretty one note and vague. And as was pointed out, does racism still exist in the 25th century? An earlier episode with Bill confirms that racism doesn’t affect black people anymore - it’s more against blue...
