The Doctor's speech was affecting, but it would have been better if Susan had decided to stay by herself. This way it seems like the Doctor abandoned her. As for her legacy - the character wasn't well served. No wonder Carole Ann Ford left.

I'm disappointed that we won't get to see her in WWII. Wouldn't she have something to say about that? Especially since the last movie, with the emphasis on the Germans being the bad guys (I'm not so sure they were the unequivocal bad guys in real life), wouldn't she want to fight Nazis? It...
