Fun The Last Movie That You Watched?

The Imitation Game (2014) - 4/5 While there are many liberties taken with the actual events, this is a very wonderful film that highlights the life and achievements of Alan Turing. The end nearly had me in tears, knowing how horrifically the government treated Turing, after everything he had...

    Fun Reheated Food!

I have tried it, after seeing it on Food Network, and it is pretty good. I do prefer topping french fries with chili, or hot dogs, but the spaghetti works pretty well. And yes, you have to try fried spaghetti! Try to save some garlic bread for when you do it!

    Review Disney

Like so many others, I grew up with Walt Disney. The films and cartoons have held a very special place in my heart, believe it or not. I still get a kick out of watching Alice in Wonderland, The Jungle Book, Robin Hood, and others. However, as I grew up, and read more about Uncle Walt, I learned...

    Controversial Politics

Well, we not only have the technology for the government to spy on us via webcams, it's been done by hackers, and I'm certain the government has done their share. Plus, the modern text speak is reminiscent of Newspeak from the book, and an authoritarian figurehead trying to seize control of the...

Review Doctor Who: The Movie (1996)

I re-watched it about a year or so ago, and some of it holds up. I love the cyberpunk look of the TARDIS control room, and McGann does a great job in the role. Some doesn't hold up, like Eric Roberts. That being said, it was nice to see a proper evil Master, and not a manic crazy villain. I...

    Fun Reheated Food!

Indeed. My wife introduced me to fried spaghetti. We always have a ton of leftover spaghetti and sauce when we have it, and the best way to reheat it is to take a skillet, throw some butter in it, then toss in some of the pasta and sauce, and fry it till it gets some nice brown edges to it...

Fun Tolkien: The Life & Works

Fun Tolkien: The Life & Works

Fun Tolkien: The Life & Works

It would be my wish to end the films, yes. If they could make a - shall we say, cohesive - mini-series based upon the Simarillion or some of his other works, then I would be all for it. I think my issue is that, outside of die-hard Tolkien enthusiasts, I can't see much of an audience for any...

    Review The Flash (2014)

This was a pretty good return to form for Flash. I thought the last two episodes were sort of lacking. Great moments, but I felt somewhat let down by them. But adding Elongated Man could be a lot of fun. And Danny Trejo? He should be in everything.

    Information Old News

America, ladies and gentlemen! Because Second Amendment, yo! I grew up with a dad who was a gun owner, and a hunter, and for a while, a member of the NRA. He taught my sister and I gun safety, and drilled it into us that guns were not toys. I also had two parents who taught my sister and I...

    Review The Twilight Zone (1959)

The original is still the best, and will never be equaled. The movie was watchable, but not great. There were some decent episodes of the 80s series, but again, it paled in comparison. And I only watched one episode of the 21st century reboot, which was about a time traveler sent back to kill...

I believe this has been in development hell for a little over a decade. I'll believe it when I see it.

Fun THE TV DEVELOPMENT HELL THREAD: Where Abandoned TV Show Ideas Go to Die!

Why? Just...why? I love those movies. What exactly about them needs remade? You want to do another movie about those historical characters - perhaps stay closer to actual history - fine. But don't use the name simply to get the audience interested.

    Review Quantum Leap (1989)

Nope. Ziggy was a scientist in the future, who aided Al. The handheld device was simply linked to Ziggy and the AI computer. I miss that show.

    Fun Worlds of DC

I have been reading comics for almost 40 years. And I have read everything when it comes to the four color adventures: Marvel, DC, EC, Charleton, Harvey, Gold Key, Dell, Archie, Image, and all sorts of lesser known companies and indie comics (and, yes, I have read my share of adult comics). I...
