For as little as I liked DS9, I liked Sisko. I would have liked to have seen him as a starship captain, but he still got some kick ass moments.

I actually liked it. I think because it was a prequel I was okay with the break from an instrumental opening and using a pop song. It fit the tone of the show.

There's also a lot of anime references, mostly the Jagers being a live action version of the mechas that were popular for a while in the genre. I especially was reminded of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION. It really is a fun film to watch. Me too.
