    Review The Incredible Hulk (2008)

I believe that is correct. I can't believe anything he could have contributed to THE AVENGERS would have improved an already fantastic movie.

    Fun D.C. Animated Universe

Mark Hamill is a god among men. From what I have heard, they added an unnecessary love scene and relationship between Barbara and Bruce. It adds nothing to the story, which was one of Alan Moore's greatest. I also understand that the animation was horrible, and it changed a few other things...

    Review Wonder Woman (1975)

She's still the definitive Wonder Woman. I like what I've seen so far from Gal Gadot (I'll say it again, she's gorgeous!!!). But Lynda was damn near perfect in the role. It will be hard to get many in the public to think of someone else as Wonder Woman after that. Hell, look how many people...

    Review Superman III (1983)

This could have been a good film. I still love the fight between bad Supes and Clark Kent. But Richard Pryor never should have been in a Superman film. Had this film been given another couple of rewrites, it may have been looked upon as a classic rather than a misstep.

    Fun D.C. Animated Universe

If I may, I'll start. I was a huge fan of SUPER FRIENDS, and other DC animated projects, but I think the real start for the proper DCAU was the Timmverse, which incorporated BATMAN: TAS, SUPERMAN: TAS, BATMAN BEYOND, and JUSTICE LEAGUE, as well as BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM, and several other...

    Fun D.C. Animated Universe

All things DCAU can and should be discussed here. Does the DCAU begin with the Timmverse (BATMAN:TAS onward)? Should SUPER FRIENDS count? What were the best television series, animated movies? The worst? Can we have the person or persons behind TEEN TITANS GO put to death?

    Review Batman & Robin (1997)

Alicia Silverstone looked good in tight black rubber. Um, that's it.

    Review M*A*S*H (1972)

Both AMC and Sundance have been showing MASH lately, with Sundance doing a recent 48 hour marathon. Re-watching many of these episodes has reaffirmed what I've always believed, which was that Charles is a really great character. I loved Frank Burns, but he was a one trick pony. There wasn't...

    Review The Incredible Hulk (2008)

There were things about both solo HULK movies that I liked, and much I didn't. I thought Norton was good as Banner, but Ruffalo seems to fit the best with the comics. His film was better than HULK, but still was very flawed. I believe I read that Norton didn't come back because he thought that...

Fun TV MOVIES That You Loved!

I didn't know about that version. I watched the 1998 version, because I loved the novel and it had Leonard Nimoy in it. It sucked. Gave it a happy ending, and just messed with the whole story. Just...bad.

    Fun Sir Alfred Hitchcock

I saw it when it first aired, and remember loving it, even though at that point, I had never seen PSYCHO (interesting tidbit: I've never watched any of the sequels. I started watching PSYCHO II on cable one night, and ended up watching something else). Very cool concept, and would have made for...

Review Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Eh, some of them. There's a LOT of the Legends stuff that just should not have happened. Some of the novels are just lackluster, and boring. Then you have authors that seemed to truly believe that everything had to be tied in to everything else, and there were plots everywhere by everybody. In...

Controversial Poor Old Jar Jar: Is All the Hatred Warranted?

I believe @ant-mac and I can safely say that, at the very least, he wasn't part of the TWILIGHT franchise.

Controversial Poor Old Jar Jar: Is All the Hatred Warranted?

Nope. He wasn't played by Jake Lloyd.

Review Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

I saw a reviewer make a comment about how, while the film really is a retread of A NEW HOPE, it was done in a way that would bring old STAR WARS fans who may have been disenfranchised with the prequels back into the fold. Their going back to old territory was a way of not so much erasing what...

    Review The Black Hole (1979)

It's been so many years since I have watched this one. I seem to remember liking it as a kid, but I couldn't tell you much about it, now. I really should find a copy and re-watch it, just for nostalgia's sake.

    Fun Foods You Won't Eat!

@streak1981 You and I would have a hard time being roommates. I love meat, cheese and beer way too much. heeheehee I was watching a program on Netflix where the group was making a recipe from the late 19th century, and they needed to make homemade gelatin, which meant having to find a butcher...

    Review Video Rental Memories

I miss video stores so much. The only chain store we had in our area was Movies America, and everything else were mom & pop types stores where they had such a wonderful, eclectic mix of movies. I remember sitting for hours just talking with store clerks about movies, and having someone actually...

    Review The Twilight Zone (1959)

I love the original. There have been some really good episodes of the various revivals, but I think sometimes the revivals try too hard. What was great about the original was that Serling used a genre television program to comment on social conditions, which is something that had been done for...
