    Review Tombstone (1993)

I have to be in a particular mood to watch westerns, and I've never really invested in many. The three I do have that I watch back to back are the two YOUNG GUNS movies and TOMBSTONE. Not completely historically correct, but damn, they're really fun watches.

    Fun Just... Comics

Anyone else read any of the Highlander books that Dynamite put out? I picked up the first few issues when they started it up in the early 00s, but monetary constraints made me bow out. What I read was really good.

    Fun Just... Comics

Outside of some Dredd stories, I really know nothing about 2000AD. I've been wanting to pick some up, just to check it out because I know other fans who really dig them. Any suggestions for purchasing?

    Fun Just... Comics

I would only say that if you're a Power Rangers fan, go ahead and buy them. I don't honestly know what the resale value is, and I don't buy comics for flipping. Nothing against anyone that does, but most of my collection isn't big price books, outside of some variant covers and a couple of...

    Review Tombstone (1993)

"He's talking nonsense. Something about a sick horse." "You're a daisy if you do." "Smell that? Smells like somebody died." So many great quotes from that film. I should dig that DVD out.

    Review Your Favourite CONSOLE GAMES?

My favorites, at least for the PS1, were the first few Crash Bandicoot games, and Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen. I absolutely loved that game. I played through it so many times, and it never got old.

    Review Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball Z, all the way. Favorite character is still Piccolo, with Gohan and Vegeta in a close second and third. A few years ago, we found a bunch of Dragon Ball games at Game Stop, and got them for our son for Christmas. He and I spent many an hour battling each other.

    Controversial Scientology

I think any and all religions can be dangerous when fundamentalism is applied. I'll support anyone's right to believe what they want, so long as it doesn't harm someone else or infringe upon someone else's rights (meaning all of these so-called "religious liberties" that folks are whining about...

    Controversial Politics

People tend to forget that Freedom of speech means the government can't censor you. It doesn't protect you from the consequences of your dumb assed comments.

    Review Margaret Thatcher

Didn't she set out to destroy the middle class in Britain the way Reagan did over here? Yeah, that's the bitch.

    Review DC Comics

I have always read both Marvel and DC, and honestly, any comic that came my way. But money was pretty hard to come by as a kid, so comics were a treat. And when you only get comics every now and then, you get choosy about which ones you read, and as a kid, I usually wound up getting DC if I got...

    Fun Cooking

I don't have Cooking Channel anymore, and I hardly ever watch Food Network these days. I like watching cooking shows, and the majority of the actual cooking shows are on when I'm at work, and there are so few of the personalities I actually like watching anymore. If I have the day off and...

    Review Brisco County Jr.

That show was amazing! If you ever get the chance, you can get the entire series on DVD. So worth it! Definitely ahead of its time.

    Fun The STAR WARS Franchise

As I mentioned in the Roddenberry thread, Lucas is a man of ideas. Really good ideas, sometimes. But he doesn't always execute those ideas in the best of ways. Also, his comments about how his ideas for EPISODES VII-IX were to be more exposition-heavy political dramas instead of space opera...

    Fun Worlds of DC

I've talked about this before in other areas, and I believe I did some talking about it a couple of years ago in my blogging. Here's the biggest sins DC has committed as far as the extended universe: -Separate TV and Movie universes - The various DC shows on the CW are really good. Sure...

    Review PCU (1994)

This movie is hilarious! There were some times living in the dorm back in college that were like this. Kinda makes me wish we had had a frat house.

Fun What TV Shows Are You Watching/Rewatching at the Moment?

The first two seasons are great. Season three is pretty weak, and the ending will just piss you off. But still one of the better vampire shows out there. You can tell it was an inspiration for ANGEL, so that's pretty awesome.
