Photos: Reynolds, Bay Film “6 Underground”
New official publicity photos from Netflix and Skydance Media’s new action blockbuster “6 Underground” have gone online today at
The Khaleej Times as filming on the Michael Bay-directed feature got underway in Abu Dhabi.
Bay, Ryan Reynolds and the rest of the 300+ cast and crew will spend a month filming in the United Arab Emirates at four locations, including Liwa desert, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. In a statement, Bay says:
“Abu Dhabi is a unique place to make a movie, with a lot of great looks. It’s got the diversity and architecture I need in front of the camera — plus the professional facilities, crew and infrastructure to back it up. I’m very excited to be shooting here over the next few weeks.”
The story follows a group of six men and women who team up to fight villains, with each of the team known only by their numerical code-names. Reynolds stars as ‘One,’ Dave Franco is ‘Six’ while Ben Hardy, Corey Hawkins, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Lior Raz and Adria Arjona and co-star.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick penned the script for the $125 million-budgeted film which has been shooting in Italy. Bay, Ian Bryce, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger are producing the film which will be released on Netflix.
