Electric Entertainment has premiered the new trailer for Rob Reiner’s “LBJ” starring Woody Harrelson as the 36th President of the United States of America.

The story deals with the political upheaval Vice President Lyndon Johnson faced when he was thrust into the presidency following President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in November 1963.

Facing a political fight from all sides, Johnson works to secure his presidency by passing his predecessor’s historic Civil Rights Act.

The film also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh as Johnson’s wife, Richard Jenkins as Georgia Senator Richard Russell, Jeffrey Donovan as JFK and Michael Stahl-David as Bobby Kennedy. Also onboard are Bill Pullman, Kim Allen, C. Thomas Howell, and Doug McKeon.

Reiner helms from a script by Joey Hartstone and will produce alongside Matthew George, Liz Glotzer, Trevor White and Tim White. The film, which premiered at Toronto last year, opens November 3rd.
