First Clip: Neeson Is Deep Throat In “Silent Man”





Sony Pictures Classics has picked up the North American rights to Watergate-era drama “The Silent Man” which stars Liam Neeson as FBI official Mark Felt – aka. Deep Throat.

Peter Landesman (“Concussion”) penned and directed the film about Felt who revealed himself in 2005 as Deep Throat, the nickname given to him by Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein as they uncovered the Watergate scandal that led to President Richard Nixon’s resignation in 1974.

The film also stars Diane Lane, Marton Csokas, Josh Lucas, Tony Goldwyn, Michael C. Hall, Tom Sizemore, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ike Barinholtz, Bruce Greenwood, Brian D’Arcy James, Kate Walsh, and Noah Wyle.

Ridley Scott, Giannina Scott, Marc Butan, Anthony Katagas, Landesman, Steve Richards, and Jay Roach produced the film with a September release currently planned. Check out the first clip from it below:

Liam Neeson Is Deep Throat In “Felt”





Sony Classics has renamed “Felt,” the Liam Neeson-led biopic about Watergate insider source Mark Felt, to the longer and much plainer titled “Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House”.

They’ve also released a new trailer for the film from “Concussion” director Peter Landesman. The story explores the Watergate scandal, political corruption within the Nixon Administration and Felt’s home life as he became the source known as ‘Deep Throat’ who provided critical intel to reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. Felt revealed himself as the source in 2005.

Diane Lane, Marton Csokas, Josh Lucas, Tony Goldwyn, Michael C. Hall, Tom Sizemore, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ike Barinholtz, Bruce Greenwood, Brian D’Arcy James, Kate Walsh, Noah Wyle and Maika Monroe co-star in the film which premieres at Toronto ahead of a September 29th release.
